We have a score to settle!
By: Tucker | February 27th, 2009Heading into Saturday afternoons important battle against 1899 at the Westfalenstadion, BVB coach Jürgen Klopp made it clear his side is not in an optimal health situation:
“We have to work with what we have available.”
The start of the second half of the season has been below expectations and BVB is still without a victory, along with four draws. The loss of Jakub Błaszczykowski has been very damaging as the attacking pulse has been absent with they yet to score more than once in a match since the restart.
Although Jürgen Klopp will miss the Poland international Kuba, Dedê, Mats Hummels and Kevin-Prince Boateng to injury, in addition to Lee Young-Pyo serviing suspended, Mohamed Zidan, Tinga and Sebastian Kehl have shaken off injuries and will be available.
Jürgen Klopp said of 1899:
“We have to work hard against the ball. You have to dispossess them at the right time and if you then move the ball into space, you won´t have many opposing players in front of you.
“We have to match them physically, because Hoffenheim go into every tackle like there´s no tomorrow.”
Possibly those the plan was best summarized by Tamás Hajnal when he alluded to the early season defeat by 1899:
“We have a score to settle!“
