Pienaar now linked with Everton

By: Steven | July 17th, 2007

pienaarSky Sports says that Steven Pienaar could be on his way to Manchester City, but The Daily Mail claims that the South African could be headed to Everton on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.

We’ll see how this turns out. I don’t know if I would like seeing him loaned out. I might almost prefer a straight up purchase because it would give us some immediate cash. Then again, maybe he’ll tear it up at Everton and we could raise the asking price next season…

Stay tuned.

How much do you think could Dortmund expect for Pienaar? Around €2,5m more or less?

Dortmund has not been kind to south african footballers recently. He could have been sold for a cool 10 mill while still at Ajax, not your lucky if you get two or three mill from a Prem club.

Yeah, his value has gone down since he’s been here. 2-2.5 million seems about right.
