Matchday 3: In-game thoughts
By: Steven | August 25th, 2007* - Well, so far we’ve been dominating things against Cottbus. We’ve had some nice buildups and have found ourselves with some nice chances, but nothing is hitting the back of the net.
* - Alright, now I’m getting a little upset. We’ve been having our way down the right flank but we’re lacking that final shot to put the ball away. Come on…
* - Oh my. Dede almost scored the opener with a chip from loooooong range. What a goal that would have been!
* - More joy for us down the right flank. They have absolutely no answer for these attacks. But yet we still can’t put one of these chances away…
* - GOAL Florian Kringe hits it up to himself in the air and volleys it home from outside the 18 yard box. 1-0 to BVB in the 44th!
* - It’s halftime now. Dortmund have absolutely dominated the first half and have a wonderful Florian Kringe goal to show for it. Let’s add some more in the other 45.
* - It’s been more of the same in the offensive third for us in the second half. Wasted chances galore.
* - So close to 2-0, but Federico’s free kick goes just wide.
* - GOAL Klimowicz with a GREAT curling shot to make it 2-0 in the 70th minute. I can feel the three points…
* - Buckley set up Klimowicz with a great chance to make it 3-0, but it went begging.
* - GOAL Amidst the serenading from the Sudtribune, Klimowicz heads home a lovely cross from Buckley to make it 3-0.
* - Full time at the Westfalenstadion. 3-0 Dortmund as the first points of the season are in the bank.
