key injuries at the start of training
By: Tucker | January 4th, 2009BVB got back to training yesterday with two noticeable absences, Jakub Blaszczykowski and Sebastian Kehl. With regards to “Kuba”, the Polish international suffered a strained muscle over the holidays which is is particularly frustrating as it was sustained in a training accident outside of the club and was avoidable. He is expected to be back within days but the club may hold him out a bit longer to ensure full recovery. However the biggest concern is the high ankle sprain of Sebastian Kehl, which was first injured mid-November. The extent of the injury, from my internal sources, is quite severe and he would have likely recovered quicker from a break. There is some concern that he will not be able to take part in the Marbella Spain training came that runs from January 9-17 as the ankle will pose lingering problems.
