It’s about time: Dortmund sponsorship logo complete

By: Steven | September 12th, 2007

Finally, after a long period of waiting, Borussia Dortmund has a permanent (and by permanent, I mean not that yellow exclamation mark) logo for their shirt sponsor. Evonik Industries, formerly known as RAG, have put out a purple colored text on a white background that sit right in the middle of the BVB jersey.

For your viewing pleasure (or displeasure depending on whether or not you like it):

Nothing special which means its way better than that silly exclamation mark.

Nick, the exclamation mark was pretty much just a placeholder RAG was using until they came up with a permanent logo. This, name change included, is the final product.

The sponsorship deal is still the same. According to the numbers I dug up at the beginning of the season it’s €7,5m. If Borussia Dortmund do well enough in the league they could get some bonus payments making the deal worth €12m.
