Now Westline is getting in on the Pienaar-to-Everton story. According to them, Dortmund have indeed been negotiating a deal with the Toffees to send Pienaar to the Liverpool club on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy. They also give a quote from Michael Zorc confirming this to be true.

Dortmund are off to a flying start, as they won their first preseason friendly 8:0. Granted, FSV Witten suck (and even that’s probably an understatement), but still — a good result nonetheless.

I don’t think it’s the fact that nobody wants to join Borussia, but rather that people are easily persuaded by the thought of lucrative contract deals (see: Newcastle - Rozehnal) and European football (see: Stuttgart - Bastürk).
